W&H Australasia Pty Ltd is committed to providing quality services to you and at his policy outlines our ongoing obligations to you in respect of how we manage your Personal Information.

We have adopted the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) contained in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) (the Privacy Act). The APPs govern the way in which we collect, use, disclose, store, secure and dispose of your Personal Information.

1. What is Personal Information and why do we collect it?

1.1. To become our Registered Customer, i.e. a customer who has registered for an account in our e-store and to enjoy our various products and services, you are required to disclose and provide us with certain essential Personal Information as indicated at the time of collection.

1.2. We may also ask for other information which helps us to offer you tailored products and services that we think may be of interest to you.

1.3. Personal Information is information or an opinion that identifies an individual. Examples of Personal Information which we collect include:

1.5.1. processing your application as a Registered Customer;

1.5.2. providing our services to you,

1.5.3. the normal management, operation, and maintenance of Our e-store;

1.5.4. providing you with regular communications from us with details of our e-store business and relevant benefits;

1.5.5. providing you with Goods or Services which you have requested;

1.5.6. processing your order for purchases on our e-store, including verifying your payment details/status;

1.5.7. carrying out prize draws, games or competitions which you have entered;

1.5.8. carrying out data sorting and analysis to enable us to better understand your characteristics and buying behaviour and to provide other services better tailored to your needs, and to assist us in selecting Goods or Services that are likely to be of interest to you;

1.5.11. aggregated behavioural analysis.

We may also use your Personal Information for secondary purposes closely related to the primary purpose, in circumstances where you would reasonably expect such use or disclosure.

1.6. You may unsubscribe from our mailing/marketing lists at any time by contacting us in writing.

1.7. When we collect Personal Information we will, where appropriate and where possible, explain to you why we are collecting the information and how we plan to use it.

1.8. With your consent or indication of no objection, we will use your Personal Information for direct marketing to you (whether by post, email, phone, SMS, or other media whether now known or available in the future) in relation to offers and promotions from:

1.8.1. Us;

1.8.2. other companies in relation to telecommunications goods and/or services, e-commerce services (including trading platforms and online auctions), payment services, financial, investment and insurance products and services, hotel and tourism services and real property and related services;

1.8.3. third party merchants that we cooperate with to provide benefits to you in relation to the following types of products or services:

1.8.3.1. sales of goods or provision of services in relation to Clinic and Dental Lab’s consumer goods or equipment. (whether through physical or online channels);

1.8.3.2. financial, investment, insurance, banking and credit cards;

1.8.3.3. transportation, travel and accommodation;

1.8.3.4. sports, leisure, recreation and entertainment;

1.8.3.5. telecommunications products and services

1.9. If you are unable or unwilling to provide us with complete and correct Personal Information, we may not be able to provide or continue to provide our products and services to you.

2. Sensitive Information

2.1. Sensitive information is defined in the Privacy Act to include information or opinion about such things as an individual's racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, membership of a political association, religious or philosophical beliefs, membership of a trade union or other professional body, criminal record or health information.

2.2. Sensitive information will be used by us only:

2.2.1. for the primary purpose for which it was obtained;

2.2.2. for a secondary purpose that is directly related to the primary purpose;

2.2.3. with your consent; or

2.2.4. where required or authorised by law.

3. Third Parties

Where reasonable and practicable to do so, we will collect your Personal Information only from you. However, in some circumstances we may be provided with information by third parties. In such a case we will take reasonable steps to ensure that you are made aware of the information provided to us by the third party.

4. Disclosure of Personal Information

Your Personal Information may be disclosed in a number of circumstances including the following:

4.1. third parties where you consent to the use or disclosure; and

4.2. where required or authorised by law.

5. Security of Personal Information

5.1. Your Personal Information is stored in a manner that reasonably protects it from misuse and loss and from unauthorized access, modification or disclosure.

5.2. When your Personal Information is no longer needed for the purpose for which it was obtained, we will take reasonable steps to destroy or permanently de-identify your Personal Information. However, most of the Personal Information is or will be stored in client files which will be kept by us for a minimum of 7 years.

6. Access to your Personal Information

6.1. You may access the Personal Information we hold about you and to update and/or correct it, subject to certain exceptions. If you wish to access your Personal Information, please contact us in writing.

6.2. W&H Australasia Pty Ltd will not charge any fee for your access request, but may charge an administrative fee for providing a copy of your Personal Information.

6.3. In order to protect your Personal Information we may require identification from you before releasing the requested information.

7. Maintaining the Quality of your Personal Information

It is an important to us that your Personal Information is up to date. We will take reasonable steps to make sure that your Personal Information is accurate, complete and up-to-date. If you find that the information we have is not up to date or is inaccurate, please advise us as soon as practicable so we can update our records and ensure we can continue to provide quality services to you.
